The arguments are already beginning but I love the overall look, even the icons. They’re reminiscent of the candy-color iMacs and just as polarizing, but I think they work even better because icons on a 4-inch screen are less obtrusive than a desktop computer. I’m less convinced about the translucency and am surprised that isn’t getting more attention. Remember the translucent menu bar in the Mac OS? But it seems better implemented than it sometimes is (see: Windows Vista). And my favorite pointless “feature” is the parallax between the icons and the background.
