» Google lobbies against ‘Don’t drive and Glass’ legislation

If you’re using Glass for navigation, I can see how it might not be any worse than having a GPS. The problem is you can’t tell if someone’s doing that or watching their shows. I see people texting and driving all the time even when there’s legislation against it and it makes me crazy (well, that and the head injury I had as a child).

Google’s defense, however, is classic double talk.

Google’s main point to legislators is that regulation would be premature because Google Glass is not yet widely available, the state elected officials say.

Please! Please! Can’t we all agree that it is better to close the barn door after the cows have all escaped? I mean, come on. That’s just common sense.
