» Confusing complaints
I’m not going to say there isn’t anything to Joshua Topolsky’s complaints about iOS 7, but some of it reads like complaining for the sake of complaining. For example:
Take a look at those new controls in Safari. What’s that box with the arrow on top of it? It appears to be your sharing options, but it doesn’t look like any sharing icon you know.
You know what the current icon is for sharing? A box with an arrow coming out of it. It’s the exact same metaphor, it’s just that the arrow is pointing up now instead of to the right and the art is simplified. Frankly, I get confused between the current sharing icon and the bookmarks icon, so maybe there was room for improvement and Apple didn’t take it, but it’s certainly no worse than what we have now. Because it’s almost exactly the same.
