A little information about Motorola’s new CEO Dennis Woodside, who helped launch the company’s new phones today.

Dennis Woodside is chief executive officer of Motorola Mobility. After overseeing the acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google, he took on leadership of the company once the transaction was completed in May of 2012.

Prior to working at Google, Woodside worked at McKinsey. If you know anything about McKinsey, it suddenly makes sense that Google thought it was a good idea to spend $12.5 billion to acquire Motorola.
