The Wall Street Journal (via 9to5Mac where it’s summarized if you don’t have a WSJ subscription):

More than seven years before Apple Inc. rolled out the iPhone, the Nokia team showed a phone with a color touch screen set above a single button.

I’ll bet a bunch of companies had stuff like that and just never brought them to market because their management decided what people really wanted was physical keyboards. You can’t use a virtual keyboard under the table at a meeting to sext your secretary, people! Come on!

The point is, disruption starts at home.
